About Us
S&K Construction Company was born in 1949, under the partnership of Carl Schroeder and George Keller. During the early years, S&K was known as a premier mason contractor, specializing in the construction of large warehouses and manufacturing facilities. In 1972, S&K became incorporated in the state of New Jersey. In 1976, Wayne Keller, the current owner and President of S&K, joined the company full-time and partnered up with his father George and brother Ken. About the same time, manufacturing companies started to relocate outside of New Jersey, forcing S&K to change its focus. Under Wayne’s skillful leadership, the company made a successful transition from mason contractors to general contractors specializing in plant maintenance and equipment foundations for major companies like Schiffenhaus Packaging, Weyerhaeuser and International Paint.
S&K’s dedication to its clients and superior workmanship have made the company what it is today and have earned it an excellent reputation in the construction industry and beyond. S&K is proud to be a family-owned business with a sixty year history. Although the company has undergone many changes since its inception, S&K values many of the same principles and guidelines that made it a successful company. Our clients will be excited to know that we employ highly skilled workers and we do all of our own work. We build everything to last and we only use the highest quality materials. In addition, Wayne is always on the job site, which alleviates much of the stress that often accompanies the construction process.
